Couldn't agree more. Some styles of teaching work better for different personalities, and there's no reason that students shouldn't experience various different styles. To me it's important to know what others are doing, to learn about new ideas about teaching, and to try things occasionally that pull me out of my comfort zone (because I gt bored as a teacher, too), but in the end, not every "great idea" will be well-suited to me or my classroom.
