She sounds good! I hope you continue to feel comfortable with her :)

I think the new therapist sounds like an awesome person and that's half the battle, now, isn't it? Rather than a mirror, you want a person to help you bounce things around!

Sounds like a promising start! Hope it continues to go well and that you've found a good sounding board.

She does sound like a person who would be good to let in. I'm so happy to hear that you've taken this step for yourself--it sounds like a brave and important step indeed!

I had a therapist very much like her and I *loved* him. He had a thick Brooklyn accent, interrupted a lot, was *wickedly* funny and kind of judgmental (he called a problematic friend of mine an "energy suck"), and at the end of our first meeting he said, "Uh huh. Congratulations! You're depressed!" This cheered me up immensely, ironically enough. Oh, and he, too, was a LCSW. That kind of therapist worked for me, so hopefully yours will work for you!
