It's snowing here in Adventure City, with "wintry mix" called for during the evening rush hour.
The good: The student leadership workshop that I was supposed to help run tonight got postponed! Now, I actually thought it was going to be a pretty good workshop ... but not so good that I wasn't delighted to have it cancelled for the evening, buying me a few hours of time to make headway on all of that work. Plus I got to go home immediately after school and thus am already in sweatpants and a fleece in front of a roaring fire. Hurrah -- happy dance!
The bad: Oh, my aching head! In the last few years, every time there's a change in the weather, especially precipitation, I get bad headaches that don't respond to pain-killers or caffeine or any of my other usual approaches; they just go away once the weather stabilizes. And this afternoon's headache is particularly brutal (if I understood barometric pressure, I might know why), which is making me somewhat skeptical about how much extra work I'm going to get done with all of this newly freed-up time.
Let's hope that the good manages to outweigh the bad on this one.

Sinus medication sometimes helps me with pressure headaches. Not so the headache goes away, mind you, but it seems to help.

Good luck with the reprieve, managing the weather-related headache and the rest of your busy week!

when I get those kinds of headaches, peanut butter smoothies (+protein) or vanilla ice cream with some peanut butter in it really helps (brain freeze is supposed to help sinus pain). Very strong mint tea can also help.
